Great little cars, probably the ideal Ring rental for those likely to turn up and just hire.

Max power 197bhp @ 7250rpm

Transmission Six-speed manual
Weight (kerb) 1240kg
Power-to-weight 161bhp/ton
0-62mph 6.9sec (claimed)

I hadn’t realised the Clio had become so middle aged with its lardy 1240 kg but with 197bhp it should still be good fun, no GT3 but at least the insurance excess shouldn’t be at so much risk...

Same as the ones we ran last year nearly.

We've got 197s in left-hand-drive and 197 Cups in right hand drive.

I keep getting asked about our crashed black rental Clio, but none of ours were crashed last weekend.

I can only presume that maybe eddie's are black?

I have to say I never seen black clio rentals... there are black Susuki Swifts and Black Meganes.... but no Black CLios that I know of...
